Viewpoint Creative - Viewpoint Wins Big at Brandathon 2016!


Viewpoint wins second place overall and nabs the Comcast Spotlight award for the best video in the competition, earning their client $20,000 worth of TV air-time! It's our second time in the top three at Brandathon, after our first place win last year.

Brandathon: Bridging the gap between the startup world and marketing world, the Ad Club’s 3rd Annual Brandathon gives agencies 72 hours to brand a fledgling company. We were paired up with our startup, EchoMe (, on Thursday night and worked through the weekend to deliver a full brand campaign before Monday morning.

Our Startup: Viewpoint Creative was teamed up with EchoMe, an app that lets anyone become a live-streaming DJ, broadcasting their favorite music out to friends and to the world. It’s a way for people to stay connected in real-time through their love of music.

The Big Idea: Get people out of the earbud bubble. Music is better together.

The Solution: Develop a campaign anchored around the tagline: 'Hear Together.'

The Schedule

THURSDAY NIGHT – We got paired up with EchoMe, met with their team and had some refreshments.

FRIDAY - We developed our campaign concept and activation ideas in the morning. By noon, we had a game plan and were starting work on animations, logo design, and hunting for the perfect video clips for the Brand Anthem video. Not to mention prepping for our shoot day on Saturday.

SATURDAY - We started our Launch Spot shoot at 7am and wrapped at 5pm. Back at the office our designers were putting together brand elements like posters, social mockups and more.

SUNDAY – We spent the early hours polishing up our design work and tweaking the edits on our two videos. The remainder of the day was spent slaving over a keynote presentation, and dipping into the bottle of Tanqueray that Ad Club sent us.

Fun Facts

When we found out our post-production intern had a Buick Riviera, we knew we had to include it in the launch spot somehow.

We invented the name Fej for our “Indie Artist” - turns out it was her nickname in high school.

We had 11 staff members and 5 interns working 12-hour days over the weekend to complete our rebrand.
