Nick Ford, Manuel Martin, & Laura Talaway To Showcase Work At Life With Pixels
Grassroots creative meet-up, Life With Pixels, sought out three of Viewpoint Creative’s Designers and Animators to participate at their event on September 20th in Cambridge. Life With Pixels began in 2015 as way for local creatives to have an open discussion about some of the latest and greatest work in the design world. The event has maintained their mission to showcase great work, network, and above all, share ideas and techniques to foster growth in the industry.
Viewpoint’s Art Director, Nick Ford, was chosen to be one of three speakers for their main event. Ford will present the process and creative thinking behind the main title sequence Viewpoint created for the ABC show, The Last Defense, as well as how to use the ‘designing with intent’ philosophy to your advantage when embarking on creative adventures.
“I’m excited to be a part of Life With Pixels this year,” says Ford. “Bringing together the creative community in Boston will be a blast. There is so much talent here and it’s an honor to be presenting.”
Life With Pixels approached Viewpoint’s Art Director, Manuel Martin, to show off some of his best creative work in their gallery space. When choosing which pieces to feature, Martin decided on more personal and experimental work including his ‘No Más’ campaign, which has received over 7,500 views on Behance.
New to the Viewpoint team this year, Designer/Animator, Laura Talaway, will also showcase her motion graphics work in ‘Life With Pixels’ gallery. The specific pieces she selected are digital illustrations and those that combine CGI elements. “The ideas behind these pieces mostly relate to my life experience and creative journey,” Talaway explains.
